Numroto function training

Our NUM training courses have a strong focus on function and execution.

e.g. Num-Draw, flute form/flute wheel calculation, 3D simulation, Qw/removal rate optimization.

Technology Training Courses

Do you want to polish flutes to a high gloss, prepare edges directly on the CNC machine and produce round edges on drills without cylindrical grinding? You’ve come to the right place.

Support for investment and technology issues

Would you like to manufacture your own tools in the future? Or do you want to produce special tools in addition to drills and end mills? We offer independent, competent and honest advice.

Potential & Optimization Analysis

Whether in general or for a specific tool. We try to uncover the hidden potential for you.

Production Control and Internal Processes

Listen to our suggestions on order allocation, wheel labeling, set-up talks and shop floor meetings.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Of course, it is possible.

We are happy to come to you and train you on site. In this way it is also possible, for example, to carry out practical training on the machine.

Our online training has been very well received by our customers.

The headset and webcam communication has proven to be particularly successful. It creates a very comfortable learning environment.

Teams even allows us to work on a program together - either on your computer or ours.

When we meet on a regular basis, we will also provide you with a free online storage space where we can manage your programs and learning materials.

Experience has shown that regular online meetings are cheaper and more effective for you than, say, an 8-hour classroom training session.

Approximately how many hours per month will be required?

There is no general answer to this question.

As an example, you can say:

  • 2x training sessions per week for 2 hours each (16 hours of pure training time per month)
  • Preparation and follow-up 15 minutes per session (2 hours)
  • For the preparation of the training as well as follow-up work due to questions of the participants, depending on the complexity, approx. 6 hours are added.

It can therefore be said that approximately 25 hours are required for the effective training alone.

However, this already includes 6 hours of individual work on your own questions and projects.

Let's say you have a production incident 1-2 times a month where you ask us for advice.

Once we were able to help you in Team Support with a simple program change (30min).

Once we received a program from you for analysis and improvement as it was not immediately clear where the problem was (2.5 hours).

Additional support (3 hours) required to resolve the issue.

With the 25 hours of training and the 3 hours of production support, you end up spending about 28 to 30 hours per month.

That's plenty.

And that still leaves time for some general consulting and support.

Version 5.0.1 guarantees us a certain degree of freedom from errors and at the same time it offers many new possibilities in programming and operation in general.

We recommend every customer to always work with the latest version!

Older versions sometimes contain serious bugs that are not visible at first glance.

In general, we do not recommend large groups.

The ideal group size is 3-4 people max.
Otherwise, it is not possible to respond to individual questions.

We also want to make sure that the content can be applied later.

Of course, each participant should have their own PC with Numroto in front of them.
A group of 25 people is definitely too large.

In fact, face-to-face training, whether at our facility or at your site, always offers the advantage of direct personal contact.

This means that training can be faster, better and more accurate than online.

At least when it comes to training directly on the machines and, for example, the introduction of new technologies such as edge preparation on the CNC.

And the more complex the topic, the greater the success of face-to-face training.

However, it is very important that what is learned is immediately put into practice.

Attendees must also be able to ask questions directly, and any ambiguities must be resolved on the same day.

Of course, the right topic must also be included in the training.

Unfortunately, far too much training is still given incorrectly these days.
In most cases, training is conducted that sometimes even covers the wrong topics.
Far too little attention is paid to the actual applicability of the content.
As a result, participants often only remember bits and pieces and are unable to apply what they have learned.
In the worst case, it takes an eternity between the training and the application of what has been learned.

That's why we pay very close attention to applicability, the right topics and precise scheduling.

That's not a problem at all.

We provide you with an exact time account where we record everything.

  • For example, if the employee we normally train twice a week is sick and there is no training, then of course you don't use any hours.
  • So, at the end of the month, you would have -hours plus-.
  • If you have to deal with the programming of several complex tools and there are some open questions.
  • Or we work together on a big and important project.

In this case, of course, we won't just stop working when your hours are used up.

Your hours account will simply go into a negative balance and be applied to the following month's hours.

Of course, our goal is to always have a balanced hours account, but we understand that projects and needs can vary.

That's why we offer flexible options:

  • If necessary, we can adjust the number of hours booked each month.
  • Alternatively, we can bill overtime as a "special service".
  • Any accumulated plus hours on your side can easily be reduced over time.

We can only give a guarantee after a detailed examination of your requirements.

Of course, this only applies to the machine type and existing NUM software packages!

We always assume a well-maintained machine, correct chucks and measuring equipment.

In summary, however, it can be said that

  • All our tools are designed for machines with approximately 36KW spindle power.
  • However, this is only partially relevant for larger tool diameters or certain operations such as plunge infeed deep grinding.
  • The programming is based on a Saacke UW1D.
  • This serves as a kinematic standard.
  • All Numroto software packages required to manufacture the tool are listed in detail.
  • Feeds, speeds, cycles, etc. are already optimized.
  • There is also a recommendation for the grinding wheels used.

If you buy only the program, you are responsible for the necessary adjustments.

However, an average machinist should be able to make the necessary adjustments.

Or you can let us help you.

We will show you what is important when importing the tool and what adjustments you may need to make to your machine.

On request, we can also offer a workshop to help you program and set up the tool you have purchased.
